J. M. Heluk is an affiliate member of The Horror Writer's Association, and has been published alongside such masters as Jack Ketchum, Joe R. Lansdale, Billy Martin (Formally Poppy Z. Brite) Kealan Patrick Burke and other notable authors.

Two Miles as the Crow Flies received an Honorable Mention from Ellen Datlow for The Best Horror of the Year, Volume 1.  

Her collection, STITCHES, will be available in 2024.
